The Crimson House Blues have just completed their 2nd album ”Red Shack Rock” to be released on the 20th of September in Gauteng at the The Library at The Brazen Head Sandton with THE BLACK CAT BONES as support and in Cape town at Mercury live on the 27th of September.
The album boasts 11 original songs comprising of a lineup of collaborators including Mr Cat & the jackal, bone collectors, Ann jangle and includes various instrumentation ranging from banjo, harmonica, Sax, Accordion, saw & blues slide guitar along with the gravel of Riaan Smits vocals and the bluesy goodness that is Crimson House Blues. Each song is a different style of blues ranging from Rock, Hillbilly, punk, metal, jazz, gypsy bluegrass & of course Blues.
The album was recorded by Wouter de venter at VH Music & publishing, and one song with Jo Ellis in Ladismith.
The album will be available at the performances, independent record stores and on all digital platforms such as itunes.
