Get The Picture is the latest single from iconic South African rock band, Springbok Nude Girls. The track is lifted from the bands 2022 SAMA (South African Music Award) winning rock album Partypocalypse. Continuing his successful association with the band (videos for; Emerging Submarines & Crystal Ball) acclaimed multi-disciplined South African artist Lionel Smit perfectly captures the band’s undeniable live energy.
This has definite punk influences and is one of my favourite tracks from Partypocalypse. I heard this chorus in my head and worked backwards from there. Theo fleshed it out, and Francois brought the speed! As a band, and as a writer we need to keep it exciting, colourful and as interesting as possible…try and try again, fail and fail again until the relentless hunger for magic grants you a breakthrough.
